Marianna completed her Bachelor of Science and her postgraduate medical degree at the University of Queensland, and has since worked in a variety of hospital and general practice settings. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs. Marianna finds joy and challenge in the great diversity of general practice, and particularly enjoys caring for children. She has a special interest in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care, having completed a diploma of obstetrics and gynaecology at the Gold Coast Hospital. This means she provides comprehensive SRH care from first menstrual periods through to perimenopause, menopause and beyond.
Marianna strives to provide safe, inclusive and non-judgemental care. Her approach is weight neutral, assisting people with their health goals regardless of their body weight, shape or size. She encourages health-promoting behaviours without pursuing intentional weight loss.
Marianna also provides gender-affirming care using an informed consent model for those over the age of 18. She is happy to help co-ordinate gender affirming care for those under the age of 18. Marianna is able to insert oestradiol implants.
Outside of work Marianna loves surfing, reading, gardening and travelling, and is kept busy with her two children.
